It's not even Halloween yet and assembly of the Winter Wonderland holiday attraction at Tilles Park has already begun. The long and tedious task of proper placement, testing of light bulbs and selling sponsorship spots has begun and is in full swing at the famous family park.

The attraction officially opens on Wed Nov 27, 2013 and closes Wed Jan 1, 2014. The display is open daily from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., but Saturdays are for carriage rides only. It will also be shut down on Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve.

The cost to drive through the display is: $10 for family cars, $40 for commercial vans and $90 for tour buses. No reservations are needed to drive through the display. Workers will collect your fee as you exit the park. I hope to see you there, St. Louis!

Carriage Rides:

Most people drive through Winter Wonderland, but if you want to make your visit extra special try a horse-drawn carriage ride. The carriage rides are available every day, but Saturdays are reserved for carriage rides only. Advanced reservations are required and the cost varies depending on the size of the carriage and the number of people in your group. A small private carriage for up to six people is $60 to $78. A large private carriage for up to ten people is $100. A large group carriage for up to 24 people costs $10 per person. Tickets are available online at MetroTix.
