Job Opening for a Truck Dispatcher
AvailAbility has a client looking for a dispatcher as a result of retirement. This is a daytime position. It is a salaried position and requires 24/7 availability. If a driver gets to a location and can't find someone, if he/she is running early or late, gets lost or anything short of breaking down this person is going to get the call. They have to be very proactive. You are dealing with drivers which may require kid gloves or a kick in the butt. You have to be able to determine which. You also have to track down customers.

I only send out your resume or job opening once, since most of the time I don’t find out if the job got filled or you took a job. Probably the most important rule: If you send in a resume for someone else please make sure they realize it’s going to be sent out to thousands of people. I’ve had a few people thru the years get called into their current boss’s office asking why they are looking for another job…not pretty.
